Curriculum planning
The school is based on the Early Childhood Education Curriculum of the Harvard University Graduate School of Education. We believe that the potential of every child is unlimited. To this end, our school has established a pleasant, open and diversified learning environment for our students. We strive to cultivate our students to become the 21st century talents who are willing to learn, good at communication, dare to risk and capable to innovate. Today is an era of advanced information technology. We passionately integrate information technology into our curriculum and teaching to broaden our students' horizons and enhance their overall learning experience. Our students can communicate with people of different backgrounds and cultures through information technology, bringing them closer together. In addition, we also focus on our students’ English capabilities, encouraging them to dare performing publicly, start building a self-image, and making their learning experience more comprehensive, flexible, and diversified.
We will follow the "Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide" (2017) to plan curriculum. Children of nursery classes will not be asked to write, and there will not be mechanical copying exercises and drills on calculation.
Learning / Teaching approach and activities
Our lesson curriculum includes hands-on experience by exploration and interaction through class discussions. SKEBK's teachers help to guide our students to be self-motivated in learning and curious by using their 5 senses; experiments and discussion are the fundamental essence of problem solving.
Assessment of children’s learning experiences
Teachers continuously observe and analyze each students development and learning progress individually, and record them in student portfolio. Our school organizes three parent-teacher meetings annually to make sure the communication between us and our parents is clear and they are well aware of their child’ learning progress at school.
