Curriculum planning
We value cultivation of virtues and good manners. We adopt a teaching model that incorporates sotries and games into children's learning. It is a interdisciplinary teaching method that integrates various learning areas and development of the basic capabilities. Themodel is based on the hand-eye-brain integration and the play-teach-learn unification to practise the philosophy of "learning by doing". We teach students in accordance with their apitude and we pay attention to the differences of each individual so as to bring forth their potential. The effective integration of both the explicit and the implicit courses lays a good foundation for children's whole person development.
We will follow the "Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide" (2017) to plan curriculum. Children of nursery classes will not be asked to write, and there will not be mechanical copying exercises and drills on calculation.
Learning / Teaching approach and activities
Adopting a child-centred approach, we provide diversified life-like, gamification, sensory-operated activities as well as changeable environment to cultivate children's positive and creative thinking and expression. We expect children to raise their standards in different learning areas and to carry along with them early on abilities that serve them for the long-term.
Assessment of children’s learning experiences
We adopt formative and summative assessment models. Through quantitative and qualitative continuous observation, we collect performance evidences and carry out objective analysis to evaluate children's development level and ability. Through home-school collaboration, we provide timely and relevant support and show the effectiveness of scaffolding.
